John Oliver, Associate Director, has extensive experience  in all aspects of commercial and project management across a wide range of sectors (commercial, retail, transport infrastructure, leisure and major civil engineering projects), which includes managing teams, administrating many forms of contracts, compiling and issuing  tender documentation, all aspects of pre and post contract administration, cost estimating/cost planning, forecasting and monitoring, writing project proposals, issuing instructions on behalf of clients, and negotiating and settling contractual claims.

Pre and post contract commercial management services related to commercial and industrial projects as follows:

• New press hall and installation of printing press for an independent newspaper group - overall value £9m
• Mechanical and electrical installations for Bank of America (£10m)
• Various commercial, industrial and pharmaceutical premises for the Wellcome  Foundation (£450m)
  – largest project £250m
• Restoration of a Grade I listed building to provide high quality small office units
• Restoration of the RAC Club in Pall Mall, London valued at £5m
• Preparation of all tender documentation for chemical plants, industrial buildings and housing developments

• Planned preventative maintenance, and preparation of claims related to maintenance works on Jubilee, Piccadilly and Northern Tube Lines (£10m)
• Negotiation of prime cost and preparation of contract documentation for the North London Railway Infrastructure Project. (£250m)
• Compilation of tender documentation and preparation of contract documentation following award of contract for East London Line Project (£550m)
• Preparation and validation of budget for Victoria Line Upgrade, analysis of tenders and pre and post contract services.
• Transport depot works including the control of budgets circa £150m
• ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System) to develop a UK solution and future implementation into the infrastructure and rolling stock, including optioneering for various alternative solutions
• Signal installation for the Thameslink Scheme (£3.5bn)
• Agreement of the corporate budget and costs for infrastructure maintenance contracts including the preparation of estimates to produce indicative costs for future tranches (£5 – £6bn)
